TWO GOATS

Once upon a time there were two herds of goats sharing a big field . One herd lived on the west side of the river and another lived on the east side of the river. One day the leaders of both herds came face to face in the middle of the swing bridge.

The leader of the east side herd shouted, "Move out of my way now and let me cross first!" The leader of the west side herd yelled back, "You are the one who must move out of my way!"

Both leaders were equally stubborn and did not back down and fought each other viciously. The swing bridge was swaying so badly and suddenly, the rope snapped, taking both leaders down with it to the river below.

Moral : It is better to yield than to come to misfortune through stubbornness.
