Long long time ago, there was a coral place under the sea. The sea kind had Severn beautiful daughters. Every day they all liked to go swimming. But the youngest and the prettiest daughter were always sitting lonely. That was the little mermaid who exactly reached the age of 16 years old. Today was the special event because it was her birthday so everyone in the underwater kingdom hurried up to bless her.
On the occasion of this glorious ceremony, a sea horse that had a voice as good as trumpet started giving a long speech to welcome all honorable guests, while the most famous harpists also played beautiful songs to accompany it.

'Please open up the big shell,' ordered the king. Then, the elder sisters opened up this huge shell. But the little mermaid was not in it, so it made the king absolutely furious.
The little mermaid was a naughty young princess who always liked doing what she wanted. Whenever there was a party or ceremony, she was usually bored. Whenever she could escape, she always went to sit imaginatively on a big rock with a funny fish. She was interested in seeing the wrecked junk under the sea because there she could see all kinds of objects from the on-land world which she had never seen in her kingdom. She was so extremely excited that she was nearly mad on them. Today she found a sunken junk. She looked at the wine bottle, glasses, shoes all of which she did not know how to use. She was so interested in these objects that she could get rid of all sadness. In the old sunken junk, when she came closer to watch it, she found a silver fork.
Because the sea creatures had never had glasses, plates and spoons, the little mermaid asked herself what these things were used for. Luckily, she had a friend who was a bird living on an island. The bird knew clearly every thing on land, as it was familiar with these things before. As soon as it saw the fork it shouted, 'It is the comb, little girl!' Then, it got the fork and combed its feathers. 'Oh, my god,' she suddenly exclaimed, 'the sun is nearly setting; what about my birthday party? What shall I do?' She thought of it. Then she hurriedly dived into the sea.
When she arrived at the palace, her father was furious. “Enter your castle right now,” her father said, “I don’t want to see you here this evening; I will celebrate the party without you.”
When the little mermaid arrived in the castle, she was very sad. But as soon as she looked at everything around, she felt very happy because it was there she kept strange objects she got from the wrecked junk. There were small boxes and vases, records, nice paintings and many other antiques. Whenever she looked at those objects, she could quite understand about the on-land world.
Suddenly, there was a happening. There was an enormous junk floating above her. Though she knew that she would be punished by her father, she swam after the junk. Only a few minutes she could come up to the surface of the sea. It was an out-of-the-blue view. The junk was strange, having golden prow, several floors at the stern and three huge sailings. It is the floating royal palace. The little mermaid heard the noises of laughing with the sound of a beautiful song. She swam gently to the junk and saw the crews were celebrating a great party inside. "Who is this ceremony for?" She wondered. In fact, this party was celebrated in the honor of a lovely young prince. The little mermaid fell in love with him at the first sight and her heart was agitated. He was only 16 years old. The beautiful statue was the present that his father had just given.
At that moment, the sky was getting dark, and strong wind came. Not longer than 15 minutes the ocean become trembling as if it was filled with anger. The little mermaid had experienced this many times, but the prince had never seen, so he was very worried. The huge wave pushed all the people out of the junk. The little mermaid could only rescue one person that was her prince. But when she took him to the shore, the prince had fainted.
Then she sang quietly and beautifully near the prince. It was said that the mermaids had a certain magical power. Obviously, the bird saw that the prince’s feet did not move at all. While she was singing, the pricne’s dog, which survived from the disaster, barked loudly and at the same time the prince became conscious, too. Poorly, noise of barking dog made her frightened, so the little mermaid dived into the sea and disappeared. The prince saw nothing except for the dog.
Was it true that the little mermaid had no more chance to see the guy she loved? When she got into her castle, she was sad. But there was another surprising happening. It was the prince's statue there waiting for her. The statue had sunk in on the right place.
Seeing the statue, she was extremely excited. 'We could not be separated,' she murmured to the statue of the young prince with whom she felt in love. Its face looked like that of the real prince. Unfortunately, her father arrived, his face getting red with anger. 'What's this?' he yelled at her, pointing to the statue. Knowing that she could not tell a lie any more, the little mermaid told her father what had happened. The king, then, was absolutely furious. He drew his three-edged sacred sword which was shone like a lightening and then cut the statue into pieces. The little mermaid felt upset. 'What shall I do?' she sighed, 'If I had two legs, I would be able to walk on land and meet the prince.'
Suddenly, there was a voice coming behind. 'Two legs! You can have them,' said an ugly big old fish, who was the messenger of a witch. Wishing to see the prince, she went to the witch. 'I can give you two legs with one condition; that is you must give me your voice,' said the witch. 'My voice?' replied the little mermaid fearfully. 'Within three days, if you get kisses and tender touches from that young prince, you will see him forever,' said the witch. The little mermaid agreed so she opened up her mouth and sang in all voices as requested by the witch. The witch then collected all her voices and put them in a piece of jewel like a pearl, which was the witch's pendant. Soon, the little mermaid was not able to speak.
The little mermaid had two legs; unfortunately, she could not use them well since she got used to her tail. If no one held her, she would die of drowning in the sea. She drowned in water many times and became fainted even if she could come on the beach. By nature, she had lived in the sea; she did not understand what belongings the human beings had; and her adventure started from that time onwards. The first one who saw her on a dessert was her friend, the bird. 'The little mermaid now has two legs, so she must wear clothes like other girls,' thought the bird. He flew to an island to bring her a dress he found in the sunken junk. Then, she nodded her head as a sign of thanks for the bird.
After dressing, the little princess stood up and learn to walk. Her staggering walk made a young man, who saw her moving unsteadily, came quickly to hold her body. He was the one who always had the dog with him, that was the prince who was in her heart. But, the prince did not know her at all, and she could not speak. How could she explain him? However, the prince fell in love with her and also took her into his royal palace.
The prince let her stay in a large room and gave a robe made of richly embroidered cloth. Two days went past; the prince had not yet kissed her. On the third day, the little princess was very worried because after the next 12 hours, she would be mute forever. In the evening, the prince invited her to relax on a boat. All birds living on the sea had been aware of the mystery and also wanted it to come to an end soon. They started to sing love songs in order to congratulate them.
Those songs were so powerful that made the princess close her eyes. Suddenly, the prince fell in love with her; unfortunately, when the prince was ready to kiss her, a servant of the witch appeared from the water, pushing the boat to overturn. Her dream turned into a nightmare because the sun had already set.
It was a good chance for the witch. She transformed her ugly appearance into a beautiful lady. She magically came out of the water and stood on the beach before the prince arrived. That lady wore a necklace with the pearls in which she kept the voices of the little princess. She smiled and spoke out a sweet voice, 'Hi, Prince!' Suddenly, the prince was soon controlled by her spell.
"Would you like to marry me?' the lady asked. The prince forgot the little princess and was mad on loving the witch. The prince then took her to the palace. The chief of protocol was very puzzled; however he greeted her with respect. The prince's father was happy and wanted his son to get married soon. After that, there was a beautifully decorated large junk, leaving the port. It was the junk of the newlyweds. On the junk was the witch sitting in front of the mirror, looking at her ugly face. But, at the window, a clever bird who was a good friend of the little princess understood what the witch was doing. Soon, the bird went to the little princess who was waiting for the prince at the beach. Then the bird invited many other friends to help the little princess. 'The lovely prince is in danger,' the birds told other birds, 'Hurry up! And quickly go to the junk." As for the princess, she sat in an empty container which was fast pulled by the funny fish.
In a very short time, all the birds were flying above the junk. 'Break it,' the head of the birds shouted as they saw where the witch was hiding. These birds saw the witch beautify herself and get well dressed for marriage. All birds jumped onto the, witch and broke the embroidered robe. Some birds took out the jewel and the others, the pearl necklace from the witch and dropped them on the board floor.
A pearl in the box was shining as if it was driven by a supernatural power glinting on the sky as a rainbow. The pearl accidentally fell into its owner's opening mouth, this was absolutely amazing. This was a very good luck of the little princess. The first word she could speak out loudly after she got back her voice was 'the Prince'. Suddenly, the prince became conscious again and recognized the girl that he loved since the spell had gone out. He went straight toward the little princess. And at the same time, the beautifully transformed witch turned as ugly as she was originally.
When the couples were hugging each other tightly, the little princess's face glowed cheerful and smiled again. 'It's too late,' the witch said ridiculously. 'Three days had gone.
And this tender touch could not prevent her legs from losing, added the witch. No sooner did the witch say than the little princess lost her two feet and fell down onto the junk in the curious sight of the prince. As a punishment, she was going to become the little mermaid again, continued the witch. The witch reached her dreadful shelter. The little mermaid was absolutely hopeless. Suddenly, her father arrived and ordered the witch, "Let me have my daughter." The witch replied, "The contract with condition has already been implemented; your daughter is mine! Unless ... “What?" the king asked hurriedly. "Unless you give me that three-edged sacred sword," the witch answered. Such a strong power of the king was because of this sword; however, without hesitation, the king gave it right away to the witch for the sake of his daughter’s safe and sound.
As soon as the witch got the sword, she pointed it at the king, shouting by cruel magic, and at that moment, the king of the sea looked like a small frog. Simultaneously, the prince came up and threw the sharp spear to the plump witch into her heart. The witch died suddenly and her tDody disappeared immediately.
The king was so happy because the prince came to help him on time. The king cast a spell to give his daughter her two legs, and then the little mermaid became a real girl forever. After that, the king married her to the prince on a well-decorated junk. The happiest couples were in the exciting sights of all good friends. "Have a nice trip in life!"
