Once upon a time, there was a King of inexact name who was in love with a woman named Mouk Reah.
One night, he rode on a rhinoceros with a servant as the mahout to go to Mouk Reah’s home.
Along the way, he saw a woman who was similar to Mouk Reah, but when he looked closer, it was not her. He then moved on faster.
When he arrived, he ordered Tum, the mahout, to tie the rhinoceros under a Krasaing tree (a spiny tree with flat, round and sour fruit), and he entered the house of Mouk Reah.
Once she saw the King coming in, she rushed to greet him, chatted with him and asked him, " By what animal have you come here? " The King responded, “Icame here by a rhinoceros, which is now tied under the Krasaing tree."
At that time, the rhinoceros could catch onlys ome words spoken by the King-only the last part, "Krasaing tree" and became indignant, for it thought the King had said he came by a Krasaing tree not by it.
It was so disappointed that it thought to itself that it had always been honest with the King, working for the King. Even though it fell asleep at night, it put up with the work. Now the King had said he came by a Krasaing tree instead.
Feeling so indignant, it ran fast with all its might to break the rope to the large forest and decided that it would never return to help the human.
No matter how hard Tum, the mahout, cried out begging the rhinoceros (to return), it did not turn back, but rushed into the forest. And Tum was following behind it.
As for the King, when he knew that the rhinoceros had run and broken the rope, he also followed it. Arriving in a field, Tum grabbed the tail of the rhinoceros, but it was still running,Tum stretched his legs to the ground causing large pieces of earth surface to come apart.
When the King saw that, he ordered Tum, "Tum, let it go! Let it go!" Hearing that, Tunl let the rhinoceros go, while the rhinoceros rushed into the forest with the decoraied saddle.
The King was enraged and cursed the rhinoceros, “From this day onwards, your species will eat thorns as food and drink dirty water,"
Because of that, all rhinoceros have a lump on their back, like a mat with a bumpy pattern like tree bark, and they have eaten thorns and drunken dirty water up to the present.
At the placewhere the large pieces of the earth's surface were torn apart, it became a lake that has been called “Tum Leng Lake (Tum let go)" until now, while the village of Mouk Reah is still called Mouk Reah village.
The place where the King saw a woman similar to Mouk Reah became the village called Prohel (similar) village; now it is called Prohal village. Prohal village is located in Talo commune Bakan district, Pursat province.
