Long long time ago, there was an ant crawling to drink water. At the same time, there was a dove standing on the branch of a tree nearby and saw an ant drinking water.
Suddenly due to a big storm, the ant was blown into the river. The dove saw the pitiful ant swimming in the water, he thought to himself: "Oh! The ant, you certainly must be drowning to death."
Soon, the dove carried the big leaf in his beak and then dropped it in the water near the ant. The ant tried to climb up the leaf and floated to the bank safely.
After surviving from the incident, the ant said to the dove: 'Thank you Brother dove for saving my life. If I have chance, I will repay your good deed some day".
A few days later, there was a hunter who was hunting in the forest. The hunter was glancing at the dove perching on the tree and thought: "Aha! Aha, what a fat dove".
Then, the hunter pulled out his slingshots to aim at the dove. The ant which was crawling nearby saw the boy pointing his slingshots at the dove and he thought: "Oh! This is a dove that saved me last time; therefore I have to return his good deed."
After that, the ant crawled up the hunter's leg and bat fiercely. It hurt so much that the hunter shouted "Ooouy" and jumped up and down. As a result he shot at the wrong target. The ant shouted: "Hurry up, flyaway, Brother dove."
After hearing that, the dove hurried up to flyaway. The dove said to the ant: "Thank you for saving my life, young brother ant." From that day onward, the ant and the dove become good friends forever.
- The END -
"Good deed deserves good result."
