There lived a widow named Kantaing with a small son in a strange village. Her son was called Sangvit (thin) and aged 3 years old. Her son was also strange because he was so small in size compared to others. He ate very little. Auntie Kantaing felt shameful that her son looked weird to others. Auntie Kantaing, however, loved her son.
Everywhere she went, she had always brought her son along. On the ways, everyone wanted to see him.
One day, Auntie Kantaing brought her son to meet a doctor in the village, whom local people named Godlike doctor.
Godlike doctor was someone who treated only bizarre diseases. He examined Sangvit and told her mother to return home with an empty bottle. The doctor told Auntie Kantaing, "Arriving at your home, please fill in this bottle with boiled water and let you son drink it, then your son would grow and become fleshy like other children."
Auntie Kantaing felt very happy. Arriving at her home, she immediately boiled water and kept it cool before pouring it into the bottle and got her son drink it. Sangvit drank the water, and he grew and got fleshier little by little. He started to have appetite. Auntie Kantaing gave him a can of milk. Sangvit drank the milk up to the end.
Auntie Kantaing felt that her son had not grown and become fleshy enough, so she filled the bottle with more water for Sangvit. Her son grew more and more. He started to cry for more food, ''I'm hungry ... !" Auntie Kantaing made a large pot of porridge for her son. Sangvit ate all the porridge.
Auntie Kantaing still thought that her son had not grown enough as what she wished. So, she further filled the bottle with boiled water for her son. Sangvit drank all the water. Then he grew incessantly.
At that time, Auntie Kantaing could no longer deal with Sangvit's weight. Her house collapsed Sangvit grew more and more. Auntie Kantaing screamed,"It is enough, you should not grow any more." With the power of the water, her son kept growing endlessly, and he kept shouting, "I' m hungry..!"
Auntie Kantaing cooked a large pot of rice and a pan of fried food, yet it was not enough. Sangvit cried so loudly that villagers flocked to see him. Auntie Kantaing was busy with cooking rice for her son till her rice was empty.
She could no longer endure with such situation, and ran to meet the Godlike doctor. Seeing how fat Sangvit was, the doctor used his magic, saying that, "Become thinner now! When you are thinner, you would look lovely." Sangvit then was become smaller little by little to a size Auntie Kantaing said, "That's enough." Sangvit's size was that like other children in the village. The doctor said to Antie Kantaing, "The magic was also the same like medicines. Overdose could lead to harms."
